| FCC Bags Most Awards in Alay Lakad '09 |
|
This year's Alay Lakad brought Filamer in the spotlight as the school bagged most of the major awards including Most Disciplined, Most Colorful, Best Slogan, and placing first runner-up in other categories. This is an added confirmation of the school's commitment to excellence, along with its newly acquired Deregulated Status - a prestigious award given by CHED, with Filamer being the first and only college to receive this distinction in Capiz. This annual walk-for-a-cause fund-raising project with the theme "Lakad Kabataan, Ituloy and Kaunlaran" aims to generate more funds that will be used in helping another batch of out-of-school youth (OSY) in the province to become productive citizens. The newly elected president of said organization this year is Dr. Salvio Llanera, Dean of Filamer's Graduate School, who, together with other officers, were inducted after the walk.
