9 Filamerians join ACUCA Micro-Degree Program across Asia

Nine students from Filamer Christian University (FCU) participated in the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA) Micro-Degree Program for the Summer cycle, held from July 21 to August 8 and offered by partner universities across Asia.

The ACUCA Micro-Degree Program provides students from member institutions with supplementary learning opportunities not readily available in their home universities.

The program also equips participants with additional credentials aimed at enhancing employability and global competence.

This year, FCU college students enrolled in various short-term courses hosted by ACUCA partner institutions.

Kristia Erithrea Clavaton (BSN-3), Zyrah Mae Doloso (BSN-3), and Frank Benedict Villareal (BSIT-1) attended Blending Creativity and AI: Digital Skills for Learning and Employability facilitated by Women’s Christian College in India.

Lezzey Marrey Arroyo (BSN-3) and Jillian Destacamento (BSN-3) joined Global Retail Logistics offered by Madras Christian College, also in India.

Meanwhile, Krista Mae Baril (BSN-3) and Jamela Mae Falco (BSN-3) participated in Powerful Communication Skills at the Workplace through the Lens of Christianity conducted by Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.

Zairen Mae Adremesin (BSN-3) and Charity Jade Bagohara (BSN-3) took part in Sustainable Gastronomy: Creating Culinary Practices for a Resilient Future hosted by Trinity University of Asia in the Philippines.

By engaging students in international academic initiatives such as the ACUCA Micro-Degree Program, FCU continues to broaden learning horizons and promote global citizenship.

The initiative strengthens international collaboration, encourages cultural understanding, and reinforces the university’s commitment to shaping graduates who thrive in a borderless world of knowledge.
