BSN alumnus achieves nomination at prestigious BAME Awards 2024

Robert Joseph Yusay, an alumnus of Bachelor of Science in Nursing batch 2016, made an incredible feat having been nominated and shortlisted as finalist at the National Health and Care BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) Awards 2024 as Nurse of the Year held at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London, United Kingdom, and September 26, 2024.

Yusay, a Theatre Practitioner in Cardio-Thoracic Theatres and Cultural Diversity Network Lead or Operating Room (Room) Nurse at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in North Lancashire, England, is one of the nine finalists in the Nurse of the Year category.

He was nominated for his exceptional initiatives and leadership, and improvement of services to BAME communities. The National BAME Health and Care Awards celebrate the unsung heroes of the NHS and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic health and care services which started in October 2019 in London.
