Filamer Christian University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intact Base Taiwan – Philippines and Cheng Shiu University, February 27, which marker another key step in its internationalization strategy, fostering global partnerships and opportunities for Filamerians.
Dr. George Cortel, University President, and Dr. Nemia Mabaquiao, consultant of Intact Base signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions as witnessed by the following: Ms. Michelle Diongco, Ms. Cherisse Hope Gomez, Ms. Thistle Mariby Aguilar, and Ms. Ibelle Villa who represented Intact Base and Cheng Shiu University; and Prof. Jonah Gafate, dean of the College of Computer Studies, Engr. Daniel Lorenz Broces III, dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Mary Jane Tormon, International Programs director of the University.
After the MoU signing, an information session and basic Mandarin lesson was conducted by the representatives of Intact Base and Cheng Shiu University.
The information session was attended by engineering, IT, and computer science students and alumni.
The International Talent Circulation Base or the Intact Base Taiwan – Philippines is part of the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program or the INTENSE Program which is an initiative launched by Taiwan Ministry of Education and participated by 23 universities, which provide opportunities to outstanding international students to study, intern, and work in Taiwan.
It offers opportunities for bachelors, masters, and doctorate programs in the fields of sciences, technology, engineering, semiconductor, finance, and other related courses.
