CAPRISA team finishes strong in WVPRISAA Socio-Cultural contests

Capiz once again obliterated the competition in the socio-cultural arena, securing spots and leaving a mark across multitude of categories.

Voices from Capiz shone as Queenie Vebs Lema from St. Anthony College of Roxas City (SACR), under the guidance of Gino Paulo Buizon, clinched third place in the vocal solo. Meanwhile, Robert Tryke Castro and Reizel Gwynn Lingad from Filamer Christian University (FCU), coached by Arlene Upano, also secured third place in the vocal duet.

Adding to the accolades, the mesmerizing dancers from FCU—John Vincent Castro, Dia Rose Degala, Jazelle Jade Binoy, Sophia Mae Yangyang, Rosevie Kim Yangyang, Nina Marie Bañares, and Dhency Dimayuga—captivated the audience with their performance at PRISAAYAWAN, earning them second place under the coaching of Sarah Rachel Gay Artates.

Jeniko Bibal from Hercor College (HC), coached by Nhomer John Camacho, delivered a stirring oration that touched the hearts of the audience, securing a commendable second place.

Additionally, in the dancesport competition, FCU’s Sareinah Ruth Gay Artates and Tito Fantilaga III dazzled their way to first place, while Ahryza Dadivas and Jayvee Almorte from Elizalde Academy (EA) followed them, securing second place in the Junior Latin American category. In the Junior Modern Standard category, Juselle Allen Ortencio and Cloyd Daryl Magtalas from EA secured third place.

In the senior category, pairs from FCU won accolades. Pierre Angelique Rae Rose and Mark Jaen triumphed in the Senior Modern Standard category, claiming first place with their exceptional skills, and Kyla Marie Obligar and Kenneth Garilao impressed the crowd, securing third place in the same category. Georgia Celestial and Clint Vincent Jullar earned third place in the Senior Latin American category.

The FCU dancesport team is coached by Shiela Mae Alovera and Joy Maravilla, while Bonnie Cuence coaches the EA team.
