Filamer Christian University, Inc. marked its 121st Founding Anniversary with a solemn Commemoration Worship Service organized by the Spiritual Life Affairs Committee on August 29 at the FCU Gym.
The gathering brought together university employees who reflected on FCU’s rich history while being inspired by a meaningful message delivered by Pastor Joshua Zonita, a professor, alumnus, and former university pastor.
In his sermon anchored on the theme, “FCU@121: Living Out the Legacy Towards Transformation,” Pastor Zonita emphasized the enduring role of faith in both personal and professional life, and urged the Filamerian community to remain responsive to the pressing challenges and conflicts of today’s society.
The program also showcased the artistry of the FCU Chorale, whose uplifting musical renditions set a spirit of reverence and celebration.
In addition, the chorale received a benediction as they prepare to represent the university in an upcoming international chorale competition, a testament to FCU’s commitment to nurturing both faith and talent.
The commemoration served not only as a time of worship and thanksgiving, but also as a reminder of FCU’s legacy of faith-driven education and its mission to continue shaping lives towards transformation.
