Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) was honored with three significant citations during the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) 4th Regional Quality Awards, held on May 28 at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, Central Philippine University in Jaro, Iloilo City.

The awards ceremony, part of the celebration of CHED’s 31st founding anniversary and the 5th Higher Education Day, recognized the outstanding contributions and achievements of higher education institutions (HEIs) across Region VI. The awards highlight excellence in key areas such as instruction, research, community engagement, institutional development, and adherence to CHED policies and standards.

FCU received the following distinctions:

Deregulated Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Region VI Award – recognizing institutions that demonstrate academic excellence, administrative integrity, and quality assurance systems that meet CHED’s rigorous criteria. Notably, FCU is one of the only 3 deregulated HEIs from Western Visayas

Excellence in National Service Training Program (NSTP) Award – honoring FCU’s exemplary implementation of the NSTP and its significant impact on student development and nation-building.

Philippine Anti-Illegal Drug Strategy (PADS) Innovative Award for Higher Education – acknowledging FCU’s proactive and innovative efforts in promoting a drug-free learning environment and advocating for student welfare.

These accolades reflect FCU’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, values-based education that serves both its students and the wider community.
