FCU students shine on international stage with research on elderly care

Political Science students from Filamer Christian University recently represented the University at the International Conference on Southeast Asian Studies (ICSEAS) in Taiwan, held from October 16 to 18.

Fourth-year students Mia Factolerin and Rollyn Angelie Oso presented their study on government approaches to elderly care in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, aiming to address the lack of research on this important social issue.

Their work, guided by Professor Mary Antoinette Fajardo, Chairperson of the Social Science Department, offers insights that could help shape future policies in the region.

ICSEAS, hosted by Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, gathers scholars from across Southeast Asia to explore solutions to regional challenges.

The participation of FCU students underscores the University’s dedication to research excellence, global engagement, and producing graduates who make meaningful contributions to society.
