In support of National Hazing Prevention Week, Filamer Christian University (FCU), in coordination with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), conducted an awareness activity aimed at educating students about the dangers and legal consequences of hazing, February 14.
The event featured a a lecture by Security Office Head and ROTC Commandant Roger Ibañez who discussed the Anti-Hazing Law, emphasizing discipline, respect, and student safety within academic institutions such as FCU.
Students under ROTC program actively participated in the session, which highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of accountability and brotherhood without violence.
“We need to he aware of the danger of hazing, and we must not engage into it,” Ibañez said.
FCU reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive campus environment through continuous information drives and preventive initiatives aligned with CHED’s advocacy against hazing.
