Filamer Christian University actively participated in the CapizConnect: Volunteerism and Province-wide Action Mobilization as one of the partner institutions of Capiz State University (CAPSU), in collaboration with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), on December 2, at the 2nd Level Event Center, SM City Roxas, Arnaldo Boulevard, Roxas City.
FCU represented by National Service Training Program (NSTP) office, Mass Media and Promotions Office, Community and Extension Office with student organizations Filamer Blue Falcons and The Hillside Echo exhibited their respective products, programs, activities, services and achievements during the event highlighting volunteerism as one of university’s priority development programs.
CapizConnect volunteers from various institutions and organizations such as youth leaders, community members and academic groups came together to expose their unique programs and local initiatives on volunteerism efforts.
In his message, PNVSCA Executive Director Donald James Gawe underscored the importance of volunteerism in the country noting that it hones the country’s development, and one of the needed facets for nation-building.
FCU Vice President for Administration delivered the closing remarks highlighting the need for collaboration among various groups to advance volunteerism efforts.
