Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) once again solidified its reputation as a leader in Basic Education after its Elementary and Junior High School (JHS) programs were awarded Level III Accreditation, the highest recognition granted by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities – Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI) through the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), announced through a letter dated February 7, 2025.
JHS Urla Dela emphasized the significance of this achievement, highlighting the rigorous standards required to attain Level III status.
“We thank God for this opportunity. After 15 years, the Junior High School has once again achieved Level III Accreditation, marking another milestone for the department,” Dela said.
Both accreditations will be valid for four years, from December 2024 to May 2028.
“This recognition is a testament to our commitment to excellence. It adds to the department’s achievements, including our Hall of Fame Award for being the Outstanding Private High School (Big School Category) in Roxas City Division,” Dela added.
She further stated that the accreditation affirms the department’s strong academic programs, qualified and competent faculty, and sufficient physical, technological, and financial resources.
Meanwhile, Elementary Principal Fatima G. Palmes credited the collaborative efforts of the school’s stakeholders in securing this prestigious recognition.
“Receiving Level III Accreditation from ACSCU-ACI signifies the department’s dedication to providing quality education. It reflects the collective efforts of our teachers, learners, parents, alumni, PTA, and the entire school community in fulfilling our vision, mission, and objectives,” Palmes said.
She also emphasized that FCU’s culture of strong leadership, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement has been key to its success in Basic Education.
To attain the Level III status, academic council through the leadership of Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs Dr. Minnie Chan and Quality Assurance Officer Dr. Eleonor Bechayda, together with the teaching force of JHS and Elementary, presented various documents highlighting the schools’ achievements and compliance to the requirements of the rigorous process.
ACSCU-ACI is a leading accrediting body for private educational institutions in the Philippines.
