Twenty four college students of Filamer Christian University completed the Summer and Winter short-term courses facilitated by the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA) through its member institutions all over Asia.
Lovely Nhel Eslomot, Rhea Ann Montecalvo, and John Emmanuel Lozada finished the Mandarin Language program under the Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan. On the other hand, Benjie Acer, Abbygail Aperocho, Aira Shane Biare, China May Bacoy, Trisha Mae Alabot, Denisse Shayne Haro, Princess Edrhine Arrobang, Arabela Lendio, Mary Grace Lombra, and Jerik Christi Laguda completed the Korean Language course supervised by Hannam University, South Korea.
Carla Regina Diras, Ma. Abegail Cabanus, Catherine Carillo, and Romel Huntarigo finished the short course on Metaverse and Multisensory Servicescape: Creating Virtual Environment to Leverage Customer Experiences of the Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana, Indonesia; while Abbygail Aperocho, Renee Isabelle Llanda, Giselle Bulquerin, and Princess Joechelle Fernandez were able to hurdle the Innovation and Entrepreneurship with AI Tools program under the supervision of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia; meanwhile, Thea Abbiegail Dacula and Jan Karl Velado Python for Basic Data Science by Women’s Christian College, India; and Ma. Estelle Antonette Vaflor for Service Learning and Community-Based Participatory Research for Responsible Leadership by Christ University, India.
The micro-degree programs are regularly offered for free by ACUCA to students of 65 member-institutions in Asia. This is an endeavor to provide opportunities for students to enrich their learning and credentials to enhance their employability. The Micro-Degree Program also gives a platform for the faculty members to collaborate on creating specific short-term degrees to be offered to the students and even to faculty and staff.
