High School 1973 donates 75-inch smart TV to University Library

Filamer Christian Institute High School Class of 1973 donated a 75 inches Smart TV to be utilized at the Discussion Room of the University Library, February 13.

            A short turnover program was held in the presence of the University President, Dr. George Cortel, High School Principal, Dr. Fatima Palmes, and Director of Libraries, Mrs. Ruth Magdaluyo.

Mr. Ricardo Alcantara, delivered a turn over speech on behalf of the class and highlighted the importance of these facilities as educational tools making the University library more relevant in the digital age.

He also added that they are planning to improve the facilities in the Discussion Room as a way of giving back to their alma mater, encouraging other batches to donate, and helping the students make use of the technology provided for them.

Dr. Cortel thanked the group for their donation and emphasized the importance and the crucial contribution of the alumni in supporting the development of the University.

            The High School Class of 1973 also previously donated air condition unit, curtains, and 32-inch TV at the Discussion Room.
