Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz commended FIlamer Christian University, Inc. for being granted Deregulated Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through Resolution No. 1101 Series of 2025.

This commendation came after the University was listed as one of the 92 Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) as Autonomous and Deregulated by CHED in September 2024.

The commendation was received by University President Dr. George Cotel, Vice President for Academic affairs Dr. Minnie Chan, and Quality Assurance Officer Dr. Eleonor Bechayda on January 20 at the Hall of Governors, Capiz Provincial Capitol, Roxas City.

The similar commendation was bestowed to Filamer by the Sangguniang Panlungsof of Roxas City last January 21.
