White Gift Service highlights compassion amid crisis

During moments of crisis, calamity, or economic difficulty, the university community was reminded of the deeper meaning of Christmas through a message highlighting God’s nearness to those who suffer during the White Gift Service on December 1 at the FCU Gym.

Rev. Gad Natan Sabari, Senior Pastor of Capiz Evangelical Church graced the event citing the belief that Christ was born not in palaces but among the poor, the reflection emphasized that even in times of uncertainty, hope remains present and accessible.

The message underscored that acts of compassion, whether in the form of small tokens or larger contributions, carry the power to uplift others. Such gestures can provide food, joy, and hope to individuals and families affected by hardship.

Through this spirit of giving, the university community continues to honor the essence of Christmas, especially in challenging times.

Hundreds of Filamerians attended this year’s White Gift Service, reaffirming their participation in one of the institution’s cherished Christmas traditions.
