Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) has officially joined the Western Visayas Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (WVCIEERD) as its newest institutional member.
FCUβs membership opens opportunities for faculty members and researchers to participate in regional capacity-building programs and submit funding proposals aligned with the consortiumβs priority research, development, and innovation clusters.
The university formally marked the start of its membership by participating in the Review of the WVCIEERD Manual of Operations (MOP) and the 3rd Quarter Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting, held at Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo on September 23β24. Representing FCU were Dr. Erlyn C. Beup (VP-REIID), Prof. Leo Art Diosep E. Borres (RICWO Director), and Mrs. Mae-Ai L. Taleon (OVP-REIID Secretary).
WVCIEERD is a regional research network supported by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) and DOST Region VI. Its priority research clusters cover industry efficiency, energy, electronics, ICT, food safety, and emerging technologies, among others.
