Two Senior High School students from Filamer Christian University were conferred the Chief Girl Scout Medal, the highest and most prestigious national award of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), during the recognition ceremony held on November 27, 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
Anie Nicole Almodiente, a STEM–Dalton student, and Lee Andrea Barcenas, a STEM–Justice student, were chosen as Chief Girl Scout Medalists for fulfilling their responsibilities as aspiring leaders and demonstrating consistent dedication to community service.
Their year-long service projects showcased their initiative, compassion, and commitment to meaningful change.
Almodiente’s project, WATER PUMP focused on environmental care through clean-up drives, community awareness efforts, and sustainability-centered activities.
Barcenas, on the other hand, led the SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHTS project, which included the installation of a water pump and sanitation facilities, efforts that improved community safety, accessibility, and overall well-being.
Through feeding programs, environmental initiatives, community improvement projects, and various service activities, both students embodied the values of leadership, responsibility, and service that define a true Chief Girl Scout.
The awarding ceremony was led by Dr. Cristina Lim-Yuson, National President of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
They are accompanied by their TROOP Leader, Ms. Margie Bacud.
Filamer Christian University proudly congratulates Anie Nicole and Lee Andrea for bringing honor to the institution and for uplifting their communities through service.
