6 FCU programs undergo ACSCU-ACI accreditation review

Filamer Christian University, Inc. continues to advance its commitment to academic excellence as six of its academic programs underwent accreditation processes conducted by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities–Accrediting Council, Inc. from April 13 to 17, 2026.

Three programs, including Accountancy, Tourism Management, and Criminology, were evaluated under a resurvey visit, a process that reviews the programs’ sustained compliance with accreditation standards and their continuous improvements over the years.

Meanwhile, the Biology, Psychology, and Social Work programs underwent preliminary visit, marking their initial step toward full accreditation and signaling their readiness to align with established quality benchmarks.

The week-long accreditation activities involved thorough assessment of key areas such as instruction, faculty qualifications, research, student services, and community engagement. Evaluators conducted interviews, document reviews, class observations, and site inspections to ensure that each program meets the standards set for Christian higher education institutions in the country.

University officials and faculty members expressed that the accreditation process serves not only as an evaluation but also as an opportunity to further enhance program delivery and institutional practices. It reinforces the university’s goal of providing relevant, transformative, and outcomes-based education to its students.

This development underscores FCU’s dedication to quality assurance, academic integrity, and continuous improvement, as it strives to produce competent, values-oriented graduates equipped to meet the demands of their respective professions and contribute meaningfully to society.
