HRDC Holds Seminar on Digital-Age Counseling for GCC

The Filamer Christian University, Inc. Human Resource Development Center (HRDC), in partnership with the Guidance and Counseling Center (GCC), conducted a seminar-workshop on April 22, 2026, titled “Trends and Challenges in Doing Guidance and Counseling in this Digital Age.”

Held at the GCC Conference Room, the activity aimed to equip guidance personnel with updated knowledge and skills in addressing modern student concerns influenced by technology, including digital dependency, self-diagnosing through online platforms, and social media-related mental health issues.

Dr. JP Lota S. Medina, RGC, served as the resource speaker and shared research-based insights on positive psychology, technology use, and adolescent wellbeing. Participants also engaged in discussions and workshops designed to improve counseling practices in today’s digital environment.

The initiative reflects HRDC’s continued support in strengthening professional development and enhancing the delivery of guidance services.
