Expanding global academic collaboration through mobility, a faculty member from the College of Computer Studies (CCS) conducted guest lecture in Bali.

Ms. Jeanny Jean T. Escalada served as a guest lecturer in the 2026 International Summer School hosted by partner university, Institut Bisnis dan Teknologi Indonesia (INSTIKI), Bali, Indonesia, July 20. 

Anchored on the theme, “Living Harmony: Culture Heritage and Immersive Technology Innovation”, Ms. Escalada explored the topic: Decoding Global BPO Architecture and the SEA Service Culture. She specifically delved into the architecture of business process outsourcing, the geographic delivery models, regional mapping of the Southeast Asian powerhouse ecosystem, and service culture  as a core contract business key performance index.

Ms. Escalada also spoke on the SEA service culture trinity and emphasized how traditional cultural paradigms transform directly into critical digital workplace execution strategies.

“The SEA service culture trinity includes: the Philippines’ Malasakit focused on proactive problem ownership, Malaysia’s Budi Bahasa on refined diplomacy and speech, and Indonesia’s Pawongan on human-to-human harmony,” emphasized Escalada.

After the lecture, Ms. Escalada will also serve as judge in the final projects of participants on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) tracks that will take place on July 22.

The International Summer School runs from July 19-25, and participated by around 30-40 students across Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Ms. Escalada’s guest lecture in the event is part of the University’s ongoing effort to foster academic mobility among faculty and staff.
