FCU programs gain multiple accreditations from ACSCU-ACI

Filamer Christian University (FCU) has achieved another remarkable milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence and quality Christian education after receiving significant accreditation recognitions from the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI) awarded on June 18, 2026.

The latest accreditation results affirm the university’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, outcomes-based education while continuously improving its academic programs to meet national and global standards.

Hospitality Management Elevated to Level IV Accreditation

Leading this historic achievement is the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management Program, which has been elevated to Level IV Accredited Status, the highest accreditation level granted by ACSCU-ACI.

The program was awarded a five-year re-accredited status, effective from May 2026 to May 2030, reflecting the program’s sustained excellence in instruction, faculty qualifications, curriculum development, student services, research, community engagement, and institutional support.

Level IV accreditation signifies that the Hospitality Management program has demonstrated a mature and exemplary level of academic quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This distinction places the program among an elite group of accredited programs nationwide and serves as a testament to FCU’s dedication to producing competent, industry-ready hospitality professionals equipped with both technical expertise and Christian values.

Three Programs Earn Level II Re-Accreditation

Further strengthening the university’s academic profile, three degree programs successfully secured Level II Re-Accredited Status with a three-year accreditation period, effective from May 2026 to May 2029.

These programs are Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, and Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

The re-accreditation confirms that these programs continue to satisfy rigorous quality standards and maintain effective systems that support student learning, faculty development, academic governance, stakeholder engagement, and global partnerships and linkages.

The achievement highlights the collective efforts of administrators, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners who have worked together to sustain a culture of excellence and accountability within their respective disciplines.

Candidate Status granted to emerging programs

In another significant development, ACSCU-ACI granted Candidate Status to three emerging academic programs including Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Bachelor of Science in Social Work under the College of Arts and Sciences.

The candidate status is effective from May 2026 to May 2028, during which the programs are expected to prepare for their formal accreditation visits within the next two years.

This recognition signifies that the programs have met the preliminary requirements necessary to enter the accreditation process and are on a clear pathway toward full accreditation. It also demonstrates the university’s commitment to strengthening and expanding its academic offerings in response to societal needs and professional demands.

The accreditation was received during the 4oth ACSCU-ACI National Assembly in Bacolod City.
