As part of its commitment to advancing academic excellence, the Quality Assurance Office (QA) conducted an accreditation awareness program to the key officials and employees of St. Anne Business Institute, Inc., Nabas, Aklan, last July 30, 2026.

Dr. Eleonor B. Bechayda, Quality Assurance Officer, together with Dr. Minnie P. Chan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered talks on the importance of the accreditation process to an educational institution.

“Accreditation is a must for schools as it signifies the formal recognition of an educational program or institution, as possessing certain standards of quality or excellence, based on an analysis of its educational operation in relation to its objectives and its unique role in the community it serves,” emphasized Dr. Chan.

On the accreditation process, Dr. Bechayda added, “Accreditation process is a systematic, objective, and critical investigation and evaluation of a program or school, beginning with the institutional self-survey, that is why, it is necessary that the sequential steps outlined in the accreditation framework be followed meticulously by applicant institutions.”

Dr. Jess Jay M. Sajise, President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Anne Business Institute, expressed his gratitude to the FCU team for extending their assistance to their school.

“We are planning to undergo accreditation and good thing, FCU is here to assist us along the way,” said Dr. Sajise.

A ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also done after the mentoring session as it signals further collaborations between the two institutions.

A short meeting was also held, exploring possible collaborations that will be added in the MoU and to be facilitated by the IGEO director, Dr. Mary Jane F. Tormon.
