Equipping its teaching force with essential technological skills for modern education, Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) conducted a two-day Learning Management System (LMS) training for full-time and part-time faculty members on July 23 and 24 at Roblee Hall in preparation for the opening of the new academic year.

The training aimed to familiarize faculty members with the university’s new LMS and enhance their capacity to utilize digital tools in delivering instruction, managing course materials, monitoring student engagement, and supporting learning beyond the traditional classroom.

Bytelift Learning and Technologies, Inc. spearheaded the training, introducing participants to the fundamental features and functions of the LMS.

The faculty members were guided through the platform’s various tools, including conducting online classes, uploading and organizing learning materials, recording academic data, managing course activities, and monitoring students’ progress.

Through hands on demonstrations and guided activities, the participants were given opportunities to explore the platform and develop practical skills that they can apply in their respective classes. The training also highlighted how an integrated LMS can help streamline academic processes and provide faculty members and students with a more accessible and organized learning environment.

In her message, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Minnie Chan encouraged the faculty members to embrace technology as a means of strengthening the university’s delivery of education and supporting alternative modes of learning.

“We are happy that we have a new LMS provider, Bytelift, and we are excited to explore its potential as it will effectively help us deliver learning to our students, even just in an online platform,” Chan said.

Meanwhile, a representative and trainer from Bytelift Learning and Technologies, Inc. emphasized the platform’s role in making teaching and learning more efficient through an integrated digital system.

The trainer expressed appreciation for the opportunity to work with FCU and highlighted the potential of the platform to ease the workload of educators by providing them with tools that can be integrated into the university’s academic system.

“This [Bytelift] will surely help us and make our work easy by the time we integrate it in the university system. We are glad to help Filamer, and to be chosen by the school, in providing a good platform for learning,” Bytelift’s Senior Software Engineer Jayhiel Vhon Lopez said.

The two-day training forms part of FCU’s continuing efforts to prepare its faculty members for the evolving demands of education and to strengthen the university’s digital learning capabilities. By equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively use technology, FCU aims to provide students with a more flexible, accessible, and engaging learning experience.
