The Hillside Echo is the official student publication of Filamer Christian University, upholding responsible journalism and serving the interest of the Public. Guided by the principles declared in Republic Act 7079 or the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, The Hillside Echo shall uphold and protect freedom of expression for the benefit of the student body and the community, and promote the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.
The Filamerian Yearbook publication upholds the Philosophy, Mission, Vision, and Goals of the University and annually produces a yearbook that will preserve the history, tradition, and culture of the graduates and strengthen the thriving FCU alumni community. The yearbook serves as a capsule that contains memories and preserves the history, tradition, and culture of the graduates. It also records the achievements and milestones of the graduates and can be used as proof of graduation. The Filamerian is tasked to facilitate the production and publication of the yearbook that captures the Filamerian spirit and honors the transformative educational experience the University has contributed to the graduates.
The FCU Silak Dance Company is the only official Dance Company acknowledged and recognized by Filamer Christian University since 2008 founded by the Artistic Director Dr. Marcelo JC Diaz. It has been part and member of Saot Capiz Performing Arts by the Capiz Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office. Throughout the years, as the organization continues in pursuing the growth and potential of the student’s expertise in the field of dance, the FCU Silak Dance Company brought pride and honor in representing Filamer Christian University and the Province of Capiz in local, national and international stage and seen by millions of audiences.
The Filamer Christian University Student Organization shall be known as Filamer Christian University Student Republic, hereinafter referred to as the FCUSR. The FCUSR is an independent organization founded on the rights of Filamer Christian University students It recognizes education as a principal means of developing the students physically, intellectually, and spiritually in order to make them ideal citizens of the republic and true children of the Almighty;
Filamer Blue Falcons is the first university-based cycling here in Capiz and is the official cycling club of Filamer Christian University. The club was founded last September 28, 2022, by the current president, Miss Hannah Joy A. Daynolo with the help of bike enthusiast of the said university and the first official adviser, Mr. Dorcel John Tumlos, which all started on the online platform called “FCUSR Connect” where students send their opinions and shout outs.
Capiz LEO Club FCU Chapter is a youth organization that operates under the local chapter of the Capiz Leo Club as a program of Lions Club International. The name "LEO" stands for "Leadership, Experience, Opportunity," reflecting the organization's focus on developing leadership skills, providing valuable experiences, and offering opportunities for young people to engage in community service and volunteerism.
